2.5 is finally here. Well…almost. Wordpress has unveiled Release Candidate 1 for the 2.5 series. I am testing it on KOOP and WORDCHASM. The dashboard is a little bit slower, but the new features make up for that.

The only problem I’ve noticed thus far is a lack of cross-compatibility when it comes to browsers. I’m having more luck in Safari than with Firefox on the Mac. That is a rarity. The image uploader and html writer does quirky things in Firefox thus far…

Wordchasm is a terrific writing small-scale writing site by Throwback Press. Recently, they’ve started an empire of sub-domain blogs by regular contributors. Shecky’s Voyage is blog by John Gifford a.k.a Shecky Merman and Super Fly Max Power contains the ravings of Mr. Max Mauney.

Conscious Design has made good, quick use of Scott Reilly’s Author Image Plug-In.

WORDCHASM has been moved to 2.2 without any snags, which bodes well. The 2.2 series was long tested and well considered, so users and developers alike can sleep easily. Next up for upgrade, yours truly. The Conscious Design will be moving to 2.2 tomorrow morning.

WORDCHASM Volume 1 is closing in on completion. Throwback Press has announced that the job will be ready to print within the next few weeks.A book signing has been planned for the end of May.
